Richmond, VA – April 29, 2011 – Timmons Group, an ENR 500 Design Firm and a leader in civil engineering and environmental consulting services, is pleased to announce that Scott Dunn and Danny Lamie have recently received certifications from the Transportation Professional Certification Board, an autonomous certification body affiliated with the Institute of Transportation Engineers. Scott Dunn, has received certification as a Professional Transportation Planner (PTP). Danny R. Lamie, has received certification as a Traffic Signal Operations Specialist (TSOS).

Scott Dunn, AICP, PTP, is a Senior Project Manager with Timmons Group and works with both public and private sector clients on projects ranging from intersection improvements to large mixed-used developments. Dunn’s areas of expertise include corridor development, traffic impact analyses, traffic calming, pedestrian connectivity, and context sensitive design. Dunn has worked in the transportation planning/engineering arena for more than 12 years. He received his BA from the University of Virginia and Masters’ Degrees from the Georgia Institute of Technology in both City Planning and Civil Engineering. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners, the Virginia Chapter of the American Planning Association, and the Virginia Section of the Institute of Traffic Engineers.
Danny Lamie, CET, TSOS, is a Senior Project Manager for traffic engineering services at Timmons Group. His experience includes all aspects of traffic engineering and transportation planning including traffic studies, roadway safety assessments, signal design, signal timing optimization, corridor studies, traffic signing and marking plans, interchange design, highway design, urban street design, street lighting and intersection geometric improvements. Lamie’s 27 years of experience encompasses a wide range of transportation projects for the Virginia Department of Transportation as well as several on-call contracts for state and local governments.
